We watched the Tiger Shark show last night. That was pretty cool. I didn't watch the one after that about Shark Attacks though.

I think I've watched Jaws of the Pacific and Air Jaws a billion times.
I don't remember that part!
I just remember them being able to swim backwards

I love Air Jaws, that have an Air Jaws II this week
, I want to say either Thursday or Friday?

as terrified as I am of sharks, I am very curious about them and they really are fascinating creatures. the show I am looking forward to the most is "Sharkman" the one where he swims with Great Whites without a cage!
OMG! I have been watching the same shows this week! I watched that show
about Mark and Matt, that was awesome wasn't it? I'm like you I am fascinated, but my favorite show is the one about the death zone off of
some coast in africa. where the great white's are jumping out of the
water as they attack their prey, which is the little sealion! They swim ontop
of the water, the shark follows down on the bottom behind it abit! Then they
shoot straight up and go in for the kill, as they engage the prey in their mouth, they jump up out of the water like a whale or dolphin does! These sharks are 10 to 13 ft long and are actually beautiful, marked up like the killer whale! Totally fascinating!! What creeps me out the most is
the eyes, just the way they turn their head to the side and look right at the cameras! Creepy!! Erry!!! I totally understand this, they are named killer sharks, whales, or man eaters, but just like willie they are so smart, they are killers of the food they eat. they have to do that! They really don't want
to eat humans, it's the sounds, and noises, that are a threat!
What about the tracking device they put on the sharks, they swam some
5000 miles in 9 (I think?) or 99 days! I know an elephant in the wild roams
99 in a day! That is one reason why I don't go to the zoo. It makes me so
mad knowing that and those poor elephants in the zoo, are in a space, that
is not even big enough for them to turn around. They are all stressed out
when you see them moving their heads and trunks up and down constantly!
Anyway, great show on discovery!

Yeah,, so would I have....

How about when that guy was in the water on the Tiger Bites, and like 20 sharks arrived..

I would had halled out of there,, no way george,,, not even one shark would keep me down there...

People are nutz.. Though it was kind of weird how the sharks reacted almost like dogs to the sharkman's touch.. Very strange..

that was rather sweet, the sharks did seem to enjoy being "petted"
who woulda thunk it!?

May you be many times blessed for caring and putting that caring into action -- I KNOW your beloved Simon is looking down approvingly, because it is the best tribute you could pay to him!

There's no place like home
I couldn't watch the shows with shark attacks, but I absolutely loved the one where they were touching their heads and putting them into tonic immobility.

Last night when DH and I were in the pool, I swam up to him and grabbed his nose to put him into a tonic state. It doesn't work with humans.......

I didn't get to see Sharkman.
We were out of town and I forgot to record it. Hopefully it's on the DVD set I have in my Netflix queue.

I was disappointed with all the shark attack shows. I would have liked to see more on just sharks, not shark attacks. I loved the Tiger Shark show, and the repeats of the Great White programs.

Anyone psyched for Deep Blue? I hope they have lots of sharks and whales in that series.
