Hello! I'm new to this site. My cat Aphrodite is about 2 or 3 weeks away from delivering her babies. I have a couple of questions.

First, how can I encourage her to use the area I want her to use for her nest? I've tried to set up several different nesting spots, but she doesn't seem interested in them at all.

Second, her brother, Carnelian, is very close to her, and always gets very nervous and worried when he can't get into the room with her. She always gets nervous too. He's not the father of the kittens, he's fixed, and she got pregnant when she tore a screen out of an open window and escaped. (She was scheduled for her spay too
) Would it be okay to allow him to be in the room when she's in labor? Or would it cause problems?

Thank you so much for any advice you can give!

Its really best to keep them by their selfs, but you can try it, if at any point the mother seems distrest then take him out of the room. Fluffy had Anne in the room with her and she helped clean up the kittens. you know your cats so only you can answer this question.
If you keep her in a nice quiet room with her food ,water and litter tray, then set up her nesting spot then chances are you will use it, this way you can make sure she dosnt have thm anywhere unsafe.
