Hi All

Has anyone else experienced the problem of their cat being sick after eating food? It happened to me twice yesterday, Ive had my cat for about a year (though hes about 10 years old) and in the year that Ive had him Ive only ever known him be sick once, about 6 months ago. Hes a normal tabby cat and otherwise in good health? Should I take him to the vet ?

Have you switched his food recently? This can cause some upset. But, most likely, he is probably eating too fast and then throwing it up before he can digest it. This is very common. When he throws up, does it look like unchewed cat food but wet? That would indicate he's eating too fast.

But, what concerns me is his age. I would take him to the vet for a checkup.

Yes youre probably right a vet check-up is probably the way to go. It's also exactly as you describe it, it looks like liquidised cat food. I havent changed his food recently but he does eat awfully fast (it looks like it anyway!)

Sounds like he's just eating too fast. What time do you feed? Do you leave food out all day for him or have set feeding times? If you have set feeding times he just may be hungry so when you put the food down he wolfs it down too fast. But, I'd get him to the vet for a checkup. If it's something serious, better to catch it sooner than later. Good luck!
