We have a 10 gallon fish tank on a stand near the steps in our kitchen. Yesterday Mickey who is 7 weeks old jumped from the stairs, onto the fish tank and fell in!. It has a lid but it also has an opening in the back where the filter is. The opening is small enough for the butt end of a 7 week old! He scared the fish silly and got his feet wet, but he was able to pull himself out. So we put a net over the filter area and so far it has worked to keep him out. I couldn't believe it!

Yikes. Luckily the tank didn't fall over!

Poor kitty and poor fishies.

Do you have to do anything to the fish water now? Wouldn't it be contaminated or something?

Poor little Mickey - hopefully he will stay away from the tank now!
Now THAT would be worthy of YouTube

About ten years a go I had a cat Max and a fishtank, I went to town, came home to find my cat swimming in a 33 gallon tank, I didn't think to take a picture until after, after that Max just pretended to fish on the front of the tank

So far he seemed to stay away from it. But I didn't think about adding anything to the water!!
I'll have to ask hubby he is the fish expert.
