What is "green" tripe? I can't find where on their website they list the ingredients for each product. Did I miss it somewhere??

Their website is very dog oriented. That always annoys the heck out of me.

I got some samples from them. The food sample was sent in a baggie with a handwritten label "Cat Food Sample, Venison & Fish Recipe." I'm very reluctant to feed them food sent in a baggie. A note in the packages states that "This is the only real meat diet on the market that is a shelf life stable alternative to raw." Supposed it's sourced from antibiotic-free, hormone-free, grass fed, range raised venison and lamb from New Zealand, and all other other ingredients come from New Zeland as well. It smells very strong (not pleasant to me, but I'm not a cat).

They also sent me a full size bag of "Good Cat" treats. Hand written on the front is a note that cat & dog treats are the same. The ingredients in the treats are:

Lamb
Chicory Syrup
Hoki Fish Oil
Lecithin
pherols
parlsey

I broke one treat in half and offered a piece to each of my cats. Swanie snarfed his down, Cindy got up and moved away from hers. Swanie then snarfed Cindy's half too.

We got some kitty treats at a show (curtesy of the cat club). Was freeze dried fish flakes (swear its just normal flaked fish food). But Charlie loves them - Ling will walk away from them.

But both will eat the talepia fish we cook for ourselves
Go figure

According to the site, either venison or lamb "offals"
ZiwiPeak 'Daily-Cat' Cuisine
Formulation: Moist (easy-tab cans)
Available size: 185g/ 6.5oz
Available meat choices:
Venison (meat min 40%, venison offals min 20%)
Venison & Fish (meat min 26%, venison offals min 19%, Hoki fish min 14%)
Lamb (meat min 40%, lamb offals min 19%)
http://www.ziwipeak.com/Products/Ziw...uisine-Family/

It defines "green tripe" as
neither bleached nor scalded
.

The price sounds outrageous, but I've been buying this food for several months, and the feeding instructions are right on, i.e., one 185 g./6.5 ounce can will feed a 4 kg c. 9 lb. cat for two days. It's very rich and filling.
