OMG I am so excited I'm nearly crying!
The main race day is tomorrow and I have myself a ticket
Today they are having the qualifying heats, I can hear the planes swooping down to the Thames and earlier I saw a stunt helicopter doing all sorts of tricks. Can't see the actual racing from the flat because they fly too close to the ground (or river in this case!)
I should point out that aeroplanes are one of those things that make me jump up and down and squeal as if I'm 3 years old again.
Anyone ever been to one of these events?

In London because of CAA regulations about low-altitude flying in built up areas (ie you can't do it) the only place they can do it is along the widest part of the Thames which is about a mile from my flat. I am so excited about tomorrow, I have spent most of today with my face pressed to the window hoping to see glimpses of the planes as they swoop in for the start of the course....
