Hello!
I came to this site looking for help with one of my cats, but I haven't yet formally introduced myself. My name is Mish, I live in the center of PA and I have three cats (with more on the way).
My first cat was Scully. She came from a nearby rescue, already spayed and declawed. She's not the most affectionate thing around unless food is involved, but she's very playful, active, and pretty. =)
Next came Hercules, a well-fed senior I took in from a family whose young daughter had become allergic. He was also already neutered and declawed, but unlike Scully he's a lap cat who loves to be petted.
My most recent addition I took in less than a week ago. She was found on the university campus nearby, but is such a lover that I can't believe someone would turn her loose! She is pregnant, however, and along with her forthcoming kittens she also brought a few infections and infestations which my vet and I are working out how to treat. She is quarantined in my bedroom until she litters (which should be in the next week or two!) and she and all her kittens can all be treated and spayed/neutered. She looks a little different, I don't know all that much about cat breeds but I think she may be an Abyssinian mix? She has the large ears, angular face, long whip-like tail, slender body (except for her belly!), long neck and long front legs. Either way, she's very pretty and a total lover! I have named her Patience. =)
I also have a small herd of chinchillas which I breed for show, and I used to work at the Baltimore Zoo. I have loved animals since I was little and will continue to do so for a long time. =)
