Okey, I am back with info on Milli.

I took her in to the vets on tuesday morning, she was sterilized and I collected her on wednesday monring. She has changed towards me, and is now very loving, I am really enjoying this, Yet is this a normal reaction??

Got to take Milli back in two weeks for the stiches to be removed.
Oh and she is licking herself over the shaved area is that normal also?

Thanks

Each cat reacts differently to having an operation or being at the vet. After having been spayed, one of our kitties became much more loving - it wore off after a couple of days, though that little period helped her become more accepting of our demonstrations of love.

It is normal for her to be licking the area - but don't let her pick at them or constantly lick. I know the last thing you want to do right now is admonish her or tell her something she doesn't want to hear, but don't let her lick the area raw. Some licking is normal - too much licking is bad for the healing. Just make sure it's not red or becoming inflamed. If she licks too much, distract her. Hopefully you won't have to put the collar on her that will prevent her having access, but you may have to consider it if she won't stop.
