Larry, who will be 6 weeks old tomorrow, has an obsession with licking absolutely everything she comes upon. The floor, the concrete on the steps where we take weekly pictures, clothes, shoes, the bed, people, other animals, toys, bags, crates, edge of litter box, etc. I set her down on any surface and she just starts licking. None of the other kittens have done this, and it's really quite odd. Just curious if it's "normal" or if she could be OCD.

I'm no expert... but since Larry is still so young... I'm assuming that he's just being a kitten. He'll probably grow out of it once he realizes "Hey, I've been here before. I already know what it takes like. Cool" Then that's it!
That's my guess!

It may just be a quirk, but at 6 wks you don't want to take any chances, and I'd ask the vet about 'Pica'. It's an odd condition where the person or animal is missing something basic in their diet and keep trying to find it - a lot of time eating things like drywall (starchy stuff). Your kitten probably doesn't have that, but are you sure he/she(?) is getting enough of the right stuff for a baby? They shouldn't just be eating regular adult cat food, or milk.

Larry is still nursing from her mom, and is also eating canned kitten food. She hasn't started to try dry food yet but will be eating Chicken Soup for the Kitten Lover's Soul when she does.

Yes, Larry is a female. John gave her the full name of "Floppyears McFuzzyface Esquire, Attorney at Law, answers to Larry and also is a girl cat".

And what was John drinking on the nite he named girl Larry?????

I'd not tell that to very many people if I were you

I've seen kittens taste things but nothing like little Larry is doing. Perhaps she is totally confused with that name and therefore it shows in her actions???? If you give her a normal name maybe she will stop all the tasting
