My 15 year high school reunion is this year, and they are having a get together at the end of August. I've decided I really don't want to go ( the $35 dinner helped confirm that decision), but I was wondering how many of you would go or have gone??

Wow, only $35 for dinner? That's cheap. Our 10 year reunion was last year and the dinner was $50 each (which I heard was horrible food).

I didn't like many of the people I went to high school so I wouldn't go.

I only went to my 15th because I was cornered by a classmate at a festival the year before and in the confusion I said I would.

I observed that the people who were jerks back then, are still jerks.

Of course I'd go. I'd spend the day at the spa, have my hair and make up done, get a gorgeous new dress, new high heels to go with it and if I didn't already have a hot, gorgeous hubby, I'd rent one for the night and have a blast. I might even have business cards printed up that say I'm some fancy-titled executive somewhere. Of course I'd only hand those out to the idiots and jerks.

I missed my 10 year reunion, but I'd go to my 15 year reunion.

People have changed alot in 15 years... I hated high school, so I have no clue why i'd go, probably just to see what everyone was doing.. I'm nosey like that!!

No. I wasn't considered "popular" back in high school, and while I had friends, we were not consided "the in crowd" and were frequently teased and picked on.

While some of those people might have changed since then, I have no desire to be in the same room with people who would do that kind of stuff to begin with.

However, I wouldn't mind seeing some of the people that I was friends with, so a private reuninon between just us would be nice. I had remained friends with a number of them after high school, but over the years we've lost touch.

I also wouldn't even consider going to a reunion of my nursing class. I didn't even bother going to my graduation because I couldn't wait to get away from them. A bunch of petty, argumentive twits......grrrr!

All my high school "friends" turned out to be jerks, so nope....no point in bothering. I honestly don't care if I never see those people again, unless a few got fat!

We are on the same wavelength!
I didn't go to mine, it was awhile ago.. I think if i went to the next, (geez, I'm not sure what it is, the 100th maybe) nobody would know who I was.
I didn't like school, I was bored out of my mind.

I had a small group of friends in high school and I keep in touch with them still, so no, I wouldn't bother going. I didn't like many people at my school, in fact is the reason I graduated early. I did not attend school the 2nd semester of my senior year because I finished early, so a lot of people don't remember me anyway.

Like Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion?

I have my 10 year coming up in August and I don't plan on going because of drama with the high school snots who are planning it.
But all my friends that I hung out with planned our own little reunion. We had a party a little over a month ago and are having one next month also. It was really fun to hang out with everyone and talk about all the stupid things we did

It was also a good chance to escape work, kids and everyday stresses and revert back to being a kid....... even if it was only for one night

But I have to admit, the inner "witch" in me loves to see the snobby girls who were rude and sadistic who have gained like 1000lbs and have 10 snot dripping kids all 10 months apart in age

Yes, it's mean but it's my little payback for them calling me names and making fun of me for being overweight in high school

Nope. I was picked on and made fun of. Not interested in interacting with those who made my life living hell.

But it has been fun - those who picked on me will say hello to me and ask if I remember them - I flat out say "no sorry, I don't remember you' - the looks on their faces is priceless.

Depends. If there was a 10 year reunion, and I went, then I wouldn't go to a 15 year reunion. Otherwise, I might seriously consider.

My 10 year is this September, I'm still trying to decide if I want to go or not.

Maybe ... I didnt go to my 10th which was this month... One I no longer live anywhere near(1600 miles) and hate planes... Oh and most of my friends were a yr ahead or a yr behind me ... I might if I am in the area go to a 15th or 20th cause hopefully by then I have well lived up to some of my potential

No way....I get uncomfortable when I spot someone I knew from high school all the way across the mall.

I haven't gone to any of my high school reunions. I ran into a couple of ex-classmates two years ago when I was visiting my parents and one looked exactly the same and I couldn't recognize the other at all. It was weird.

I went to my 10 year and it was worth it only in that I got to catch up with about 5 friends I hadn't seen since graduation. Otherwise the food was expensive, the jerks were still jerks, and everyone hung out with their cliques. I think the committee did the best they could do - but you can't force people to mingle.

So, that said, I'd probably skip the 15th, but would consider the 20th. Unless of course 1 of those 5 friends suckered me into going to the 15th.

I went to my 5th, 10th, and 15th... but that was all. In 2009, it will be my... oh, this can't be true... it'll be my 35th! How did that happen?

I think I'll go then, though, if I can lose even a little weight, enough to look presentable. I was mostly miserable in high school, deeply depressed, not popular at all -- but I remember some very good people, kind and caring people that I would love to see again. I'd like to say thanks to some of them, for little things I remember.
