Cat Survival Story

Our cat went missing for days and we searched everywhere for her. After 9 days missing, my daughter heard a faint mewing coming from an old, locked shed. We opened it to find her in there. She was trapped for 9 days with no food or water. My guess is that she was eating bugs and lizzards that would happen by.

Its been three days since she got out and she seems no worse for the wear. I am wondering if anyone else has seen this kind of survival in a cat? I would have thought that no animal could survive that long without water? Am I wrong?

My cat was trapped under our house for about that long and survived. I think he had mice and probably water though because it rains quite a bit where we live. I think the food source was starting to dry up because he finally started scratching to get out.

Oh wow, cats are smart you can't deny that! I'm so glad your kitty made it! The most any of our cats have had to endure is being shut down in the basement, but he meowed his way out of there after a few hours.
