The company will be opening one of these stores in my town soon. It's been soooo long since we've had any new stores here and I'm really ooking forward it it. However, I've never heard of this company before, and didn't find a lot of information online. The only thing I really know is that it will be a variety store. So I was wondering, do any of you shop at ALCO and is it similiar to stores like Kmart and Walmart or is it different??????????

ALCO is cool!! I love ALCO. You have to watch though because sometimes they are kinda *pricey*.....but I know they have alot of cute clothes/crafts,

There is an ALCO in Minnesota that I always used to go to when I lived there. It's cool- the one I went to is much smaller than any walmart or target. It is quite similar to it though.. just smaller. they have alittle bit of everything. It's worth a shot

There is an Alco here. If you are in a town with few shopping options you will probably like it! I'm not a huge fan 'cuz I grew up in a larger city with all the "marts" and now I'm here in the middle of no where and Alco just doesn't compare. But it is better than nothing!

We have an Alco in town. Its sorta like a Walmart/Kmart but our store is a much smaller version. Its got reasonable prices but not a lot of selection IMO - not compared to the bigger stores.

We've used it a few times. But for major shopping we drive 1/2 hour to go to WalMart.

There's an ALCO where I go to school 30 mins from here. Someone laughed & said it's an "Iowa Thing". ALCO is a joke here. They're sorta everything & some things are cheap, but others you'll get robbed on.

I googled it, having never heard of it before... it looks (and sounds from what some of you are saying) like Big Lots... Although some of their stuff looks a bit nicer than what I find in BL. And they probably clean their stores more often than the BL's I've been in... (why is the floor sticky? Nope, don't wanna know)

At first I thought you meant Aldi's... now, I wish they'd come to Oregon... I liked them... although i wouldn't buy produce from them.. but for pantry stuff, not bad (non-brand name grocery... small stores)

The store opened a month ago, and it really is like a much smaller version of Walmart and similar stores. We only have about 5 other stores in my town, and the new store is only about 4 blocks from my home so I just love it!!!!
