He will come to me and cry when he is hungry, wants love, wants me to watch him pee. This morning as I am on the TCS, he would not leave me alone. HE ate, peed, I didn't know what he wanted, but I got up and followed him to the kitchen anyway, because he wouldn't shut up, and lo and behold, there is the 16 ounces of water bowl spilled on top of the paper filled desk I put it, with it dripping on to the 1/3 full bag of chicken crumble litter, and the guilty culprit, Pansy standing there with wet paws.
So I saved the papers, and the litter, thanks to my persistant Fangy.
What do your cats tell you?

Much will tell me if Lucy shut herself up in the mudroom again. For some reason, Lucy will sit there and say nothing, but Much has a fit until Lucy is let out.

Watch him pee????? What's THAT about?

Fang has struvite crystals, now controlled with medication.

Until we got it figured out, he would pee on the rug, right in front of me (or behind my back)! I started to be able to tell when he was thinking about peeing again in the same spot, so I would say com"n, lets go, and he would follow me to the litter box and pee in there, as I praised him.

Now he gets me to watch him pee, which is good, because then I get measure his PH with the ph stick. . He doesn't pee on the rug anymore.

A cat can't talk, but a lot can be learned by watching a cat's every behavior, including what they're doing in the litterbox. If litterbox behavior is abnormal, it points to a problem you need to investigate. Cats are very good at hiding their problems. You have to be even better at watching.

Gail's cat had struvite crystals, which can be fatal if not caught in time. Thank goodness she was paying attention when he peed on the rug.
