He is smarter than I thought...

So, last night (12:30ish) I am happy in bed sleeping. I hear this rattling/chewing of a bag. I get up and Reggae has gotten into the pantry and brought me a bag of cat treats. I give him and Tiki a couple and stuff them in my nightstand. About an hour later I hear that same noise again. I know he couldn't have possibly gotten to the treats I have in my nightstand. I get up and he has a SECOND bag of treats. These I just take away from him and put in my nightstand. So, then again later, I hear this AGAIN!! He has brought me a THIRD BAG!! I didn't even realize that I had this many cat treats!!

Do you think he was trying to tell me something??

Now I have to move them and make sure the pantry door is closed...

It would have been funny seeing him get them off of the shelf and carry them all the way across the house though!

That's bad alright.... Duke used to get the little plastic can of pounce off the shelf and open it, he would eat the whole can! I had to start putting the cat treats on the top shelf over 6 feet up

Yeah, he was trying to tell you something. "Look what I caught mommy...now, where's my reward??" At least he carried them in and gave them to you. Mine would just tear the bag apart and I would just find treat remains all over my kitchen!

At least they take their "kills" to their mommy. It could be worse. It could be a dead mouse.

He just started doing it! He brought them to me the other day. I thought it was weird, but I wasn't expecting him to do it in the middle of the night!

Those treats have ALWAYS been on that shelf, and the door is hardly ever closed. They are really old treats and I hardly ever give them to them, so I have no idea how he knew!

i swear...one of these days cats are going to try and take over the world with their infinate wisdom make sure that little man doesn't come into bartlett and teach my kitties to do that

YUP! I do think they were trying to tell you something! :-)
I came home one time to find that one of the cats (Toby is suspect) has gotten into the cupboard and gotten down the bag of catnip....it was EVERYWHERE and both cats were having a PARTY rolling around in it.
I keep it in a plastic container now that they can`t get open if they do get it down....(at least they have`nt been able to get the lid off YET!)
