It's kinda an emotional issue guys and I wanted some opinions. I don't know if it's a behaviour problem or if Sibohan is acting out due to emotions (I didn't know where to post it)
Sibohan has been acting up since Duke passed away at the end of last month. She is basically superglued to me or following me like I have a leash on her.
She also defends me from the dog (my parents puppy Kyra). Kyra is 6 months old and a very active dog. She's a Yellow lab/Alaskan Malimute mix.
The other day Kyra lunged at me playfully, and Sibohan took it as an attack. She jumped on Kyra's back claws extended and the puppy ended up backing up into my mom's China cabinet (to get Sibohan off her) and ended up breaking the Glass door in half. Sibohan walked away unskathed.
This attention seeking on behalf of both of them is getting to me it's like I can't pay attention to Kyra in the house without Sibohan getting her tail in a twist.... any suggestions?
I can't afford to buy any more glass doors, and this is not the only thing their rivalry has broken.
I have been thinking about another Cat but I can't justify bringing a cat into this house of crazy animals. I'm afraid it would get hurt. This wouldn't be an issue if I was living in my own place, but I had to move home a month ago because my contract ended.

Rhonda, the only advice I can give you is that time heals all wounds and Sibohan is hurting right now and its just going to take some time. I can only suggest that when you are playing with Kyra, keep Sibohan away, but also make sure you give her plenty of one on one time. I'm sorry that this is happening
I know how much it can stress you out when your animals aren'ty getting along
