Let's see if we can get this going again.

What was the one toy you wanted as a kid that your parents never bought you?

I wanted a dollhouse, like the wooden kind with a porch and all the furniture and the little people. I once got a cheesy tiny plastic one, but that wasn't what i wanted
and I tell you what, I still think about the fact that I never got it to this day and I am 29 years old
I have been scarred for life!!!

I wanted an EZ Bake Oven too and never got one. It was on my Christmas and birthday lists every year and Santa and my parents just ignored it.

Christmas barbie-or is she called Holiday barbie?
Also always wanted a Lite brite or, yes, the EZ bake oven. Vaguely recall lusting after the "spiralgraph"(?) my older sisters had.

I got barbie's kid sister Skipper one year. It wasn't really the same.
Anyone here a therapist?

Amen to that. (Speaking from personal experience.)

Anyway, I got a Barbie and a couple of her friends, but I always wanted real Barbie outfits and accessories. Mom made most of my Barbie clothes (and I was grateful) but some of the shoes were imitations and would never fit properly. And I also wanted a Barbie carrying case.

I never asked for an EZBake oven because I hade access to the real thing! (With Mom's supervision, of course.)

Over the river and through the woods...
I never had a big wheel. Everyone else in the neighborhood did, but dad was out of work for 3 yrs when I was little and he couldn't swing it. Found out later that my grandparents bought my X-mas presents those years (they were strapped as it was). It's hard to explain money to a 6 year old.

The only thing I REALLY was mad that I didn't get was a horse! I wanted one SO bad when I was in 5th grade, and I was SURE my parents were going to get one for me for Christmas. Now, we lived in town and had a back yard that was about 20'X20'. Somehow, I thought we could let the horse live there. I was SO mad at my parents that christmas. Yeah, I was a brat.

Well DH got it for me last Christmas: Kitty Suprise!

The other thing I've never gotten (since I have Kitty Suprise now) was this big barbie house with an elevator. My barbie house was a suitcase.

The thing I wanted most for my 6th birthday was a Stuffed Panda Bear which was all the rage that year..

I actually got him, named him Beauregard ( BoBear for short) and have had him ever since. He's been a fixture on my dresser, bed or bedroom chair literally for almost as long as I can remember.

He is sassy's favorite pillow...and Linus likes to knock him over and jump on him once in awhile.
