Let's see if we can get this going again.

What was the one toy you wanted as a kid that your parents never bought you?
I wanted a dollhouse, like the wooden kind with a porch and all the furniture and the little people. I once got a cheesy tiny plastic one, but that wasn't what i wanted and I tell you what, I still think about the fact that I never got it to this day and I am 29 years old I have been scarred for life!!!

If you are my Secret Santa I now know what to get you.

I always wanted a Glow Worm and a Lava Lamp.

I wanted an EZ Bake Oven too and never got one. It was on my Christmas and birthday lists every year and Santa and my parents just ignored it.

A Lionel Train set...toot toot
I never got one.

We are one pitiful bunch.

Barbie!
I had the cheap Tammy version.

Christmas barbie-or is she called Holiday barbie?
Also always wanted a Lite brite or, yes, the EZ bake oven. Vaguely recall lusting after the "spiralgraph"(?) my older sisters had.

I got barbie's kid sister Skipper one year. It wasn't really the same.
Anyone here a therapist?

I mean, I'm sure there are things I wanted but didn't get (my sister and I weren't horrendously spoiled, just mostly spoiled ), but I can't really think of anything off the top of my head. I was a strange kid -- I was happy playing with sticks and rocks.

Amen to that. (Speaking from personal experience.)

Anyway, I got a Barbie and a couple of her friends, but I always wanted real Barbie outfits and accessories. Mom made most of my Barbie clothes (and I was grateful) but some of the shoes were imitations and would never fit properly. And I also wanted a Barbie carrying case.

I never asked for an EZBake oven because I hade access to the real thing! (With Mom's supervision, of course.)

I always wanted one of those cars that the kids drive (I cant think of what they are called) I thought they were Soooooo cool!! they go like 2 MPH LOL My friend down the road had the barbie jeep, I wanted one really bad!

I never had a big wheel. Everyone else in the neighborhood did, but dad was out of work for 3 yrs when I was little and he couldn't swing it. Found out later that my grandparents bought my X-mas presents those years (they were strapped as it was). It's hard to explain money to a 6 year old.

The only thing I REALLY was mad that I didn't get was a horse! I wanted one SO bad when I was in 5th grade, and I was SURE my parents were going to get one for me for Christmas. Now, we lived in town and had a back yard that was about 20'X20'. Somehow, I thought we could let the horse live there. I was SO mad at my parents that christmas. Yeah, I was a brat.

Well DH got it for me last Christmas: Kitty Suprise!

The other thing I've never gotten (since I have Kitty Suprise now) was this big barbie house with an elevator. My barbie house was a suitcase.

The thing I wanted most for my 6th birthday was a Stuffed Panda Bear which was all the rage that year..

I actually got him, named him Beauregard ( BoBear for short) and have had him ever since. He's been a fixture on my dresser, bed or bedroom chair literally for almost as long as I can remember.

He is sassy's favorite pillow...and Linus likes to knock him over and jump on him once in awhile.

Cabbage patch doll.

I was never allowed to have a Barbie. I was around for the first Barbie and my father did not think it was appropriate for a little girl to have a "grown up" doll. I got tiny tears instead. I have been scarred for life due to my fathers overprotective behavior. I was never permitted to go to a slumber party either, but looking back at that one, that seems reasonable, considering all the sickos out there.

But I still want my Barbie.

I was spoiled rotten, so I can't think of anything I didn't get that I wanted

I didn't get a Barbie either, just a cheap knock-off! We were very poor when I was young, so I didn't get many toys and most was something I had to share with my brothers.

The thing I wanted most though was a red lightsaber. I still want one!
