Is my cat in labor?/

My wife brought in a pregnant stay a few weeks ago. I'n not sure how far along she is, but we noticed today that there was some brownish colored discharge. And the kittens are very active also? We have never had a prgnant cat before, so is this normal, and if so, is she getting close??

Sounds to me like she's getting close. My girls all had discharge a few days before delivery.
