Clear eye discharge

Gotta ask a question and both local vets closed at noon today.

I just noticed a bit ago Pong has a clear watery eye drainage. What could this be? He is not sneezing and there is no nasal discharge. Does he need to go to the vet or can this be treated at home? Either way I will be calling both vets in the morning.

Also Ping does not have any discharge just Pong.

Well it's a good idea to call in the morning. Could be a couple things that I know of, could be the beginning of a URI, could be he just got something in his eye, could be that he has the feline herpes virus. I would say that as long as he's not sneezing and doesn't have a fever, there's nothing wrong with waiting until morning.

2 updates here.

1. I called the vet this morning. I called the local one instead of the one in Baxley. Anyways she said if its clear with no color or ordor just keep an eye on him. He may have just gotten something in his eye. She also asked how his appitete and behavior was. And all thats fine. He is still eating good pooping good and playing good.

2. The eye looks better today. Does not look like it is discharging as much.

Pickle gets little black bits in the corner of her eyes, is that normal? She doesn't seem irritated by it though...
