I'm so sorry for your loss.
Please don't be too hard on yourself. At least she knew a loving home for her short time
.

Rest in Peace, Dee

From your other posts it sounds like you did everything you could, so please don`t be blaming yourself.

Over the river and through the woods...
RIP Dee. If it came on suddenly, there was nothing you could have done. Don't try to beat yourself up over it. Humans can have the same problem. Take comfort in the fact that you gave her a happy home and love. A lot of cats don't have that. She loves you and will always be with you in your heart.

ty all so much. I know there was nothing else that could of been done. It all happened so fast, she was fine 1 day and the next day couldnt breathe. He first suggested putting her into an emergency hospital with 24 hour watch. Then he went over it more and said it's probably not worth it she'll suffer more and it probably wont help her. Her heart was bein pushed out of the way from the mass. He said she probaly would of went anyday on her own. Didnt want her to suffer anymore. Dogs are so different from cats, when dogs get sick they let you know right away, cats, well my cat waited till the last minute to show any pain. Its hard she was my baby, i have a 14 and a 12 year old never though they were gonna out live my baby. The 14 year old was really close to her so im trying everything i can to comfort him. He really doesnt want anything to do with me. Anyone have any suggestions on how to help him? Should i just give him his space? I feel bad for him he looks so lost now. Ty all again.

In my own world, its much nicer there
I would give him space. I was 15 when I lost a cat, and it was devastating. I didn't want anything to do with my mother either. My situation was some what different. My cat had been killed on the road, but she didn't tell me like that. She made out he had runaway, so I was out searching the streets for nothing.

Sorry back to the point, that I had when I started. He will just need time to heal from the loss. At this point in time I imagine he feels its all your fault. (though it wasn't) young people just deal with things their own way.

Perhaps you could take your son to, and have the vet explain. That way it may make more sense to him and he can understand your decision.

I hope everything works out well for you.

Sending you vibes and hugs
