I have my options set to pop up a notice when I've received a Private Message, and normally it works fine... but for the past week or more, I've been getting notice after notice after notice for the same PM.

Every time I move from one thread to another, another notice pops up, even though I've already read and responded to the PM. Just now, I finally went ahead and deleted the PM -- and I'm still getting the notices!

Is this happening to anyone else?

Haven't had this problem -- beats me what could be happening. I'm going to move this thread over to FAQ's, so that it gets seen by the techie folks more readily.

I sometimes have a problem responding to PMs with the "reply" button. It just doesn't work. I'm on Safari, but when I switch over to FireFox it works. I don't think this site is set up for Macs. What browser are you using?

In any case, emptying the cache should fix the problem when it comes up.

I've had that problem two or three times, and deleting the cache fixes it.

Hey! I finally found this thread again!

When it went missing, I thought I must have accidentally deleted it or something, and I just went ahead and PMd Ryan for help. I thought for a day or so that what he'd suggested had worked, but alas, the problem recurred... so I'm glad I finally ran across this again.

SW, as you know, I'm on Mac -- and I'm using Safari too... will look into this Firefox thing, though.

And Jcat, I just deleted my cache -- will restart and see what happens. Thanks everybody!
