There's a black DLH that's been hanging around for a couple of years...I'd assumed he had/has an owner but now I'm not so sure.

He's feral I think and seriously, I'm afraid of and for this cat. I've tried catching him before since he seriously needs to be neutered but he hisses, swipes and runs away if anyone is even 5 feet away from him.

It's worse now...he has an open sore on his shoulder/neck and this cat needs a vet soon!

No such thing as humane traps and I think socialising will NOT happen.

Any ideas anyone - the cat needs help!

Only thing i can think of with no trap is try putting some food out maybe he will come eat it and build up some trust enough to not hurt you. But becareful he can snap at anytime. Only thought i have.

Yup an open sore - an abscess if you will - looks like he got bit, infected and the wound exploded - he needs help
Doesn't cover the entire shoulder but it's large enough to worry me...say about 2-3cm in diameter.

He's been hissing, spitting and running since I've known him which makes around 2 years and we've been trying to catch him since day 1!

A gorgeous cat - think Somali but black!

Hon he's definately more than 2 - it's just that we started noticing him only around 2 years ago!

Right now I don't know what color the wound is - haven't seen him this week
