Yogurt flavors that are safe for cats?

I ask because as I sit and eat my yogurt, Jake and Worm are trying to beat me up to get to it. I didn't give them any as it's an Orange Creme but I was wondering, besides plain, is there any safe flavors? They've had Strawberrys and Creme before. Just a small amount, though.

Thanks,
Chrissy

I only give my kitties & dogs plain yogurt. I do not think any others are safe, but I am not 100% sure.

Anything but chocolate (do they make chocolate yogart?) would be ok - most have fruit/flavor in them.

Charlie loves strawberries, plums, and blueberries. We don't buy yogart, but I'm sure if we did and got those flavors he'd want some of it

You can give them a little taste just not much. Plain would probably be best. But if you give them a little flavored it wont hurt them.

Fang likes breyers orange creme, and trader joes raspberry without the fruit stirred into it. He gets about a tablespoon full with no ill affects. What would be bad for them? The sugars?

I would say so, yes...just the sugar....but I would think that there is more sugar in a dose of hairball medicine than there is in a tablespoon or so of flavored yogurt. So I don't see any harm in the occasional treat.

Yoplait makes a Chocolate flavor that tastes bad. The Boys only seem to like some of the fruit flavors. If the fight I get is any indication. I usually only give them a taste from the tip of a teaspoon even though they want the whole container. LOL

Plain is best ... the sugar content of a ave yougurt now that is fruit flavored is about 40 grams per 6 ounces.. vs 15 for the same amount of plain... I beleive 9 grams to every Teaspoon of sugar
