*waves* Hi... I just discovered this community when I was researching ways to make my kitty a little quieter when I'm in the bathroom. Her name is Magrathea (like the planet from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy) and EVERY time I go into the bathroom she sits outside the door and tries to talk to me. It could be anything from taking a shower to getting some water before bed... she's RIGHT THERE. Since I'm just as nocturnal as she is, this gets very irritating for others that are sleeping while I'm just coming in from work or the club or something. I love it because it reminds me that someone still wants to be around me no matter who I cut in auditions (I'm a dance teacher) or how tough I was on my class. I've not been Magrathea's human for very long, I adopted her from the Humane Society in November. It was very hard for me to welcome a new kitty into my life because I had just lost my previous kitty tragically in the summer of 2006. He had been with me his whole life... a wonderful 17 years. It was his whole life and pretty much all of mine seeing as I had gotten him at the age of three. I can't believe I was so lucky as to find another cat with such a different, yet enjoyable temperment. She came to me already de-clawed by her previous owners, who had abandoned her due to their "lifestyle" because she was too "high energy". She just turned two in May, give her a break! Anyway, that's quite enough typing for now... I'm going to quit, haha.
