Hello everyone,

I've been looking for a forum like this for quite awhile. I am an animal lover...have 5 pets in my home. You can see in my signature that I have 2 boxers, a Min. Poodle and two cats. I am active in other online forums about Boxers, but haven't been able to find anything similar for cats. Now I have! I will enjoy talking cats with everyone.

I am an RN by profession. Am happily married with an 11 y.o. daughter and a 4 year old son.

I have two cats, Hattie and Duncan. I actually have been searching for a cat forum for awhile because I thought it would be fun to talk to other people that own British shorthairs. I am hoping that there will be a few Brit owners here. They have such unique personalities!

Anyways, I'll make this short for now. Have to make supper, etc...will be looking forward to reading the posts and hopefully, participating in the discussions!

Happy Holidays to all...Cindy W.

Hi, I know that I am posting a reply to myself here, but, I tried to post a pic of Duncan and it doesn't show up. I will try again. If it doesn't work, I may need a little advice. Also, is there a spot on this site that has pics of members cats/pets where I can post pics at? Thanks in advance! Cindy W.
PS. It says that the picture is too big...how do I downsize the pic?

The picture that I actually managed getting attached is of Duncan last year at Christmas (2002). He is my absolute pride and joy! Are there any other British shorthair owners in here? Cindy W.

Welcome to the site Cindy! I'm glad you were able to figure out the picture posting thing. It is a nemesis of quite a few people here.
Duncan is a very handsome boy!
Usually, we post pics of our furry families in The Cat Lounge after the initial introductions (feline, canine and any other pets are all more than welcome. We love all animals around here, not just kitties.
). That way everyone can ooh and aww over them since that is the busiest forum here. Also, if you have any more questions about posting pics or anything else computer related, check out the thread "Your Computer Questions....Answered" in the "Our Super Duper Important Threads" sticky at the top of The Cat Lounge. Give that a read, and feel free to ask anything else there, too. (Her name is Myrkotten, in case you wanted to reply to her thread here in New Cats

I don't have British Shorthairs, just two mutt cats.
I know there are a few who do, including a brand new member who is bringing her new British kitten home today.
).

I look forward to getting to know you and all of your furry family, and especially Hattie and Duncan, on the forums!

Hi, Cindy! It's great to have you! Duncan is a beautiful cat. I'm so glad that you found the site. I'm sure you'll become as addicted as the rest of us. This is my second home. I have two Siamese cats and a collie. This is the fewest number of animals I've had for years, and it probably won't last! I'm looking forward to your posts.

Welcome to the board! Your Duncan resembles another member's kitty Cooper owned by Lhezzza. You can also check out the Cat Pages section and build websites for your cats.
