Me and my skin (skin and blister = sister) phone each other up and screech "I saw three ships go sailing by" in falsetto at each other on Christmas morning. I wouldn't mind but I am 36 and she is 40.

I adore The Coventry Carol. It is a lovely old traditional carol, song in four parts

Beware - the above site plays the tune (badly) , so don't go if you are at work!

What is your favourite tune of the festive season?

I love all the Christmas music! I don't think there is a song that I don't care for! I love Jingle Bell Rock, Silent Night, O'Come all ye Faithful, The Christmas Song ( Chestnuts roasting on the open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose...)

I LOVE that stuff!!!!!!

Handel's Messiah. I don't know if it's strictly seasonal, but for me it always makes it feel like Christmas.

Movin' on up!
Having a warped sense of humor, I like "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" and Jeff Foxworthy's "Redneck 12 Days of Christmas".

Heartily dislike "White Christmas" and "Let it Snow". I DO NOT like snow!

My fave is O Holy Night especially when John Berry sings it. I really don't care too much for his other songs, but when he sings this one it gives me goose bumps. That mans got some lungs on him! LOL!!

Lord of the Dance, and I Saw Three Ships. I guess I like the more traditional songs. Plus, Lord of the Dance is so pagan!

I love the Hallelujah chorus from the Messiah, and it is in the Christmas portion! There's a rather obscure French carol called Bring a Torch,Jeannette Isabella, which has a really lovely melody. Another favorite is Do You Hear What I Hear? And in popular music my favorite is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. And to make my Christmas complete, O, Come All Ye Faithful and Joy to the World! I'm afraid I could fill the page. I've been a church musician for so many years that it's really difficult to stop me! (Did I mention the Holly and the Ivy?) All right, I'll stop---promise. Jingle Bell Rock is fun. OK, I won't say anything else.......tonight, except that the words to I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day are very touching. That's all--really.

I like "Santa Baby" by Eartha Kitt.

"Pretty Paper" by Roy Orbison.

"Christmas in the Trenches"

"Veni Emmanuel"

I love all the Christmas albums by George Winston, such as "December".

I also love the Coventry Carol and John Berry's version of O Holy Night. But my 3 all time favs are Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song), It wasn't his Child (about Joseph) and Angels Among Us.

I like that one too! Our senior chorus sang it in the last concert I did. It's fun. In fact, that's what I meant to say instead of Jingle Bell Rock.
