Please can you spare a few vibes and prayers for my baby boy?

He came in this evening with his ear full of blood and with an aweful limp behind. He was barely touching it on the ground

So I got a taxi and took him to the emergency clinic. The vet was terrible. His hands were shaking and he was really rough with Kitty. Then he said he looks like a thug!

He cleaned his ear up and said he must have been fighting but he hardly looked at his leg and of course he didn`t limp when he put him on the floor. He said he could feel an enlarged lymph gland but would it come up that quick?
So he had a shot of metacalm and clamoxyl and were home again.
Poor boy peed on the way so he is covered in that.

And this vet kept calling Kitty 'it'

I`ve tapped up the cat-flap so he can`t get out but he`s just laying flat out by the kitchen now.

Kitty said, 'Thank you guys'.

I wish he had of peed on the vet or pooped

He kept going to touch him then Kitty moved his head or meowed so he kept yanking his hand back saying he was 'going to get him'

I hope he will be able to climb in the litter tray later. He`s laying by my feet now having a sleep smelling a bit pungent.

Oh the poor little guy! So what if he WAS fighting? If kitties go outside, that's inevitably going to happen. Poor baby... sending heal-up vibes and a smooch on the nose.

Thank you

He`s tried getting out already. I`m not looking forward to this but I don`t want him getting hurt. The last time I tried keeping him in was a nightmare.

Luckily he gave up after a few attempts tonight. He`s managed to climb onto his favourite chair and is sleeping like a baby now so I`ve got my duvet on the sofa and will sleep in the lounge with him for the night.

Good luck! I'd maybe call another vet in the area or not in the area, and ask them their advice. Sometimes they'll be helpful, especially if you tell them the horror story of your visit to the last vet.

Sending lots of feel better and pain free vibes to you!

Thanks!

I will see what he`s like in the morning. Our usual vet is open for a few hours on a sunday so If he is no better I`ll book him in.

I was thinking that the vet may not necessarily be a small animal vet. Maybe he is more used to livestock but still. I know they make big bucks for doing it but if a an angry kitty fazes you and you choose to cover an emergency clinic you should be able to cope without acting like he`s a 10 foot python

When he said he looked like a thug I just told him that Kitty has always been assertive

Over the river and through the woods...
A vet should NEVER call a pet a "thug", unless of course that is his name!

Many healing vibes going out for Kitty. Poor baby. Did he give you any antibiotics to give him? Keep an eye on that back leg. Little One came in a few weeks ago and had a slight limp. It ended up getting so infected it was a $200 vet bill and we had to give her hydrotherapy for 5 days. Not fun for any of us.

Keep us updated on how he's doing.

Thanks guys!

Funny you should say that. When I was at college they had a horse there called Thug!

I was on the edge of saying something to this guy but I bit my lip
I think he was looking for an excuse so he didn`t look such a big scardy woos!

It seems a bit odd that he said he could feel an enlarged lymph gland in one leg when it only happened about an hour before. He was trying to make out Kitty must be out fighting all the time.

He didn`t give us any meds to take so will defo keep a watch. I`m not sure if one of his back legs looks a bit poofy. Kitty doesn`t like being handled round there and everytime I get up now he runs to the door and wants out.

But he is looking alot better today

He woke me up at 6am to say he wanted to go out and is now trying to stink me out with toxic 'trouser coughs'

The cheeky bat calling your baby "IT" and "thug"
He would have been told if he'd said that to any of mine.

Was it your vets emergency hospital?.

Sending mega healing for your baby

Thank you,

I was so tempted when he was being so rough but didn`t want to get chucked out
He was quite vile in that respect.

This was a night clinic thats run by the vets surgery that we used to go to but I left because I didn`t like the way Maisie was rushed in and out and how they weren`t intrested in what I wanted to ask.
Unfortunatly this is where you get refered when our new vet is closed
but I just found their website and they welcome feedback so I will be polite
and say I am not happy with the way Kitty was treated.

Thanks hon

Do you know, the first thing he did when he came in was go and stuff his face! I think it was comfort eating. Bless him
