That is what it sounds like to me. Not even turn them over to a shelter? That is cruel. I hope these guys get a home.

Oh my. I hope they will be all right and someone will take good care of them. My thought go to the kitties. I'm shure they are just adorable.

I know! It makes me sick and I want to call so bad and ask her why she wouldn't drop them off at a shelter. Doesn't make sense what goes through people's heads sometimes.....

Maybe theres a rescue in the area you could call? Tell them about the posting? Maybe they could foster the poor kids for a little while.

That is an EXCELLENT idea.....I don't know of any rescues right now but I sure could try....

Calling a rescue center in the area seems the best solution for me indeed. I really hope they will be allright...

I agree that it's despicable that she would premeditate abandoning them, but I have just a couple of thoughts:

1) some places charge a placement fee to take in cats, perhaps she doesn't have the money to do that (YES, I know she could leave them anonymously, but she's obviuosly not thinking too clearly),
2) Does it say if the mama cat is feral/semi-feral? If that's the case, she may not be able to get to them to take them to a shelter. Trapping takes time, and she may be moving too soon/too busy to do that.

Again, I totally agree that there are other ways to handle this, but let's not automatically assume that she's a horrible person. Hey, at least she posted an ad to FIND them a new home!

I tried but my internet was being difficult. I tried to call some rescues around here and the many I tried were all full. They all recommended petfinder but that's where I went in the first place I really hope someone takes these poor babies in....

To me its almost like this person is trying to play the "Heart strings" of the cat lovers. They probably aren't moving...otherwise they wouldn't be asking for an adoption fee.

That's just something cruel to post in public.

I just tried the link and it has been delated by the author. So, maybe it was a hoax trying to get a rise out of people, or she hopefully has found someone to take them.
