Aww I'm so glad you saw the stage musical too!!! It's hard for me having such a passion for theater and never having anyone to relate to on it...

I have no friends to talk to this movie about because none are really that interested in that type of stuff.......it's nice to have people here who are enthusiastic, even if waiting for the dvd to come out!

Our movie theater we go to (which we JUST found a few weeks ago nearby) has the best stadium seating I've ever seen and has $5 Tuesdays, any movie, any time...... So I told hubby we're going to do double features there and see this again next week (and he can pick out whatever he wants to see, hopefully not Transformers again, as it's hard for me to repeat watch action movies).

I love love love theatre, especially musicals. Toronto is such a great theatre city. It is more difficult to go now that I have kids, but I really want to see We Will Rock You based on Queen's music. My fav all time musical is Les Miserables - I saw it 3 times.

Maybe while I am recovering from surgery I can talk my mom into coming into town and going with me. I know she wants to see Hairspray as much as I do. I love how it all about overcoming what you are by who you are (Tracy is fat on the outside, but boy that so doesn't matter with who she is on the inside).

Les Mis is my fourth favorite of all time!
(LOL yes, I make lists!!!)

My top 4 list is as follows:

RENT
Miss Saigon
Wicked
Les Miserables

(Hairspray is in a three way tie for 5 with Jekyll & Hyde and Phantom of the Opera)

I'm lucky to live 45 minutes from Boston and 45 from Providence...both of which get major tour companies on a regular basis. I'm going to see Wicked in two months in Boston.... (can't wait!!! it's been two years!)

If you end up getting to see We Will Rock You, please let me know how it is!!!!

For some reason I wasn't fond of Miss Saigon - and i can't really pinpoint why.
I missed Wicked when it was here (just gave birth, yada, yada).
I really enjoyed Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat (I saw it with Donny Osmond in the lead and 3 other times). I actually worked for ther recording studio that did the Canadian Cast Recording so i got to meet Donny Osmond and the entire cast.
Phantom - I saw for the 1st time on the day my aunt died so not to chuffed with it.

Man of La Moncha was brilliant - very moving.

I'll PM you if I go to see Rock You.

Yay, I really hope word of mouth from younger people as well gets more butts in those seats!!!! My friends who are resistant are going to be tricked into coming over and watching the DVD with me when I get it!

Glad you loved it too!!!!!
