Oh, Kota is so pretty! How big is she? Every time I take Dreamer anywhere with me people mistake him for a Collie. He's a large Sheltie....went 2" oversized and weighs 41 lbs. I'll post pics of him in another thread, so I don't take away Kota.

Kota comes a little bit over my knee and she's about 60lbs.

Well she sure is a pretty girl.
I absolutely love the blue merles. I'm hoping to have a blue merle Sheltie one of these days. My husband has to be difficult, though, and want a Tri-Color.

lol Well you go get your blue merle then! Who cares what husbands want...lol. I almost had a Tri myself. But Kota kept coming up to me and nosing at me so she picked me.

We had a blue merle sheltie next door to us last year. He was a bit yappy and poorly bred. But still cute none the less.

I plan to.
Oh, I know what you mean. It's sad just how many poor breeders are in my area. Shelties aren't easy to find. Too many around here are trying to create the tiny Shelties, which have a lot of health problems and are extremely yappy. When we were looking for a Sheltie, one breeder locally couldn't even tell me how many Shelties she had (major red flag!! UGH!). Another one couldn't give an accurate coloring of her dog. She had a Sable and insisted that it was a Tri-Color and even tried to argue with me when I showed her a picture of a true Tri. We ended up going to Knoxville.

Yep know what you mean there too. We ended up going to Bowling Green which is just 2 minutes from the Tenn boarder. But she was well work the long drive.
