Hi

There's a cat that comes around and its a tiny skinny little thing. He has a deformed little lip, or he doesn't have a right side to his little mouth. I can't get that close to him. I know its an adult because I remember this little guy about 2 years ago. This time he's back and he seems to have trouble with his front paws. I give him cooked roast beef sliced very thin, he seems to manage that alright with his mouth the way it is, and kitten milk (which he loves). I'm trying to get him stronger My problem is I'd try to trap him and get him to a Vet, but he seems so frail, I'm afraid of his little heart giving out. He's so scary. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

catnip has an interesting effect on ferals. I compare it to the effects of a human being smoking pot, lol. It relaxes them. Fresh is best, not dried. if you can't find any cat nip I have found that icy hot or Biofreeze have a very interesting effect on them as well. when you set up your trap put a cloth or something in there with some of this rubbed on it. The cat will roll around and lick it and eventually calm down and just purr. Then spring your trap!

Thanks for the info on cat nip and icy hot. I will try them, I know he needs attention right away. Hopefully, one of these will help calm him down so he doesn't panick too much.
