What we thank our cats for...

Oh how unusual our feline friends are from their colors to personalities to their many quirks and perks! I thought I start this to see how many other owners have very unusual but good kitties.

Here goes for mine;
Tiger, thank you so much for throwing up in the litter box and not in some random place on the floor... Though you missed the first time and got it on Daddy's army uniform , you have yet to miss it now! And thank you for making sure the toilet flushes all the way, may your watchful guard neer waver a bit! And for those back and shoulder massages without your claws, that speaks for itself! And most definitely thank you for not putting up a fight in the bathtub!
Angel, thank you for the long and lovely conversations in the morning whenever Meowmy oversleeps. And thank you for never using your claws on Meowmy's hands, even in play. And lastly, thank you for fetching your feather toy when Meowmy's too lazy to get it for you!

Dear PHX,

I want to thank you for telling me whenever daddy oversleeps. I understand how frustrating it is for you. He really needs to wake up earlier to play with you. Thank you for hiding my lighters, I don't need them anyway. You know it's bad for my health. PHX, you know how much I love back rubs, shoulder tubs, tummy rubs, and I really want to thank you for the face rubs! Thank you for being you! Thank you for being there to listen to my problems, and licking away my tears. Thank you for everything you do.

I would like to thank you for finding us. For being so darn cute and lovable and smart. I want to thank you for trying to clean up after yourself when you puke on the floor though I wish you would stop trying to use mommys socks! I want to thank you for being such a good girl and not trying to get outside, for sitting on your stool like a big girl and being too cute! Thank you for not pulling your fur out anymore and for hurting you daddy nicely when I want you too! (in that playful manner you do so well) And thank you for jumping up on my back the other day without your claws out!

Momma loves you!

I would like to thank Nate for waking me in the morning when I can't get up after those rough nights. I want to thank her for coming back every single day and being so lovable and adorable. For letting me know what she likes and showing it. I thank her for keeping me company, no matter what happened.

Thanks for all those lovely years.

Thank you my boys for making me appreciate a good night's sleep. You really don't know what you've got till it's gone!
Thank you for giving the bestest cuddles, especially Pushy. Thank you Pushy for never using your claws when we're playing, and for waiting until you see I'm awake to come over and cuddle face to face, kneading my neck without your sharp claws.
Thank you Wiggies, for keeping me on my toes. The way you suddenly flop down underfoot and roll on your back is most helpful for developing quick reflexes. I need the exercise.
Thank you my boys for filling up the emptiness of our home with furry love and cuteness. A home without cats would be very lonely indeed (and more peaceful..and cleaner...and would smell nicer...)

Spock - Thank you for not wandering off so much anymore...I really worried about you when you ran off!

Buddy - Thank you for being so affectionate and sweet. You make me feel better when I'm down.

Patrick - Thank you for being so funny...you always make me laugh when I need to.

Pete - Thank you for recently becoming much less shy. You're a sweet kitty!

Andy - Thank you for letting me hold you cause you're just adorable!

Harry, Ron, and Hermione - Thank you for coming into this world...you've given me some great company when I'm outside by myself, even if you're only kittens.

Reeses,

Thank you so much for following me into the bathroom every chance you get, especially at 2am. Especially when I'm tired and groggy, it's nice to know that there's someone there to meow for help should I fall back asleep, fall over, and knock myself out on the tub.

I also thank you for meowing loudly, jumping on the bed, playing with my drawer handles, or just sitting on my dresser and staring at me at 7am so I'll feed you. It's nice to know that should my alarm clock not go off, I'll still have you to tell me when it's time to get up.

Finally I thank you being such a talkative kitty and seeming like you're talking to me. It's nice to know that you're there if I want to talk to someone but my wife isn't home, and I've gotten bored talking to myself.

Thank you for deciding you love me more, and for constantly waking me up at ungodly hours of the morning to lick my face. I just hope its not revenge and you haven't just finished licking your bottom, before my face

Diego:

Thanks for choosing me as your rescuer and for giving me loads of exercise.
For stressing me out further but later coming by to relieve that stress.
I thank you for the 1,000 smooches you give me everyday, oh and having a little tank engine inside you, that rattles the china cabinet when you purr on top of it.

Mittens, thank you for not fighting with Cassy, for turning on that purr that sooths my nerves, for glaring at me when I am too busy to feed you, your a real cat.

Cassy, thank you for being such a doll, for letting me kiss and hug you without me getting all scratched and bitten, for looking at me with those hurtful eyes when you see me giving Mittens attention, it lets me know that you DO love me!

To my babies,

Thank you for loving on me and keeping me warm when it is only 103 degrees outside. Thank you for marking everything in the house with fur so no one else thinks that it is theirs... including the food. Thanks for not climbing all the way up my body when I am in the kitchen and only going up to my waist. Thanks for chewing on everything to make sure that it is strong enough to withstand everyday use. Also thanks for pouncing on me in the middle of the night to make sure that I am still alive. And thanks for all of the cuddles, purrs, and headbutts that make each day fulfilling. Oh! Thanks for taking care of all of the pesky little insects that seem to find their way into the house. When I see you both staring intently at the same spot, I know there is a bug that I need to put back outside.
