We helped him pass over on Febuary 21, 2005. He never saw his second birthday. I had him from when he was 4 weeks old and he was always sick.
I was told once that he was put in my life for a reason. I have never figured out that reason even after all this time. I knew he was going but, gosh, it broke my spirit when he left. I was depressed for so long. I could hear him, see him, talk to him, and yet, he wasn't here. He left China behind and I am so grateful to have that little piece of him still here. She comes to me for love once in a blue moon and looks at me just like Possum used to. All that pure love coming from her eyes. I like to think it's Possum visiting me through his daughter. You know, just checking up on Mom to let me know he's still here.
We've lost so many furr children but Possum always had and always will have a piece of my heart. His passing was the worse for me. He was mine and I was his.
My sweet Handsome boy. This, I guess, is a new tribute for you. I can't read the old one when your passing was still fresh without crying. Even after all this time I miss you. Any kitten that comes my way I always look them in the eyes just to see if you're looking back at me. For the first few days I was is denial then all I wanted was you back. Who am I kidding, I can't think about you now without crying. You were the sweetest angel ever to grace this house. I miss you so much, Handsome. I will always wish you will come back to me.
