I'm looking forward to it because it's the closest thing I ever get to seeing cosplay. There's usually a Darth Vader and some Storm Troopers, lots of Fairies and general nonsense, and it gets really exciting if one of the huge lantern scuptures catches on fire.

Mix several thousand people with paper lanterns illuminated by candles in a freezing cold park and you know it will be fun. Last year was weird, though, and it was actually hot! Our little Jedi Master was NOT a happy camper in her heavy costume and robes, LOL!

No, I'm too old to dress up. I would end up being "Padme in Mid-Llife" or "the Crone Fairy."

Daughter's fun to dress up though, She picks the costumes and I make them. I did make a Darth Vader costume for my husband two years ago for Halloween. I was so used to the little costumes for daughter (which are easy) and he's 6'2" and I was working with mitres and mitres of fabric - very bulky!

Where you dress up as a favourite cartoon/anime/film/comic character

Yeah, sounds like a lot of fun, I wish I was there. We recently had the Star Wars convention near us and it looked a blast
