Loves the hair dryer?!?

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

Lilly *loves* the hair dryer. She is usually pretty reserved and likes to be "around" but not right with me. However, every day when I turn on the hair dryer, she comes running to sit on my lap. I have long curly hair that takes forever to dry, so I sit and play online while I dry it. She curls right up on my lap and purrs the whole time the hair dryer is on. When I turn it off, she gets up and leaves. The only explanations I could come up with are that she enjoys either the noise, the vibration, or the warmth... ??? Any opinions or experience with this?

That is really cute. I don't have one with the hair dryer but everytime I'm on the computer my mom's cat jumps up on my lap and starts purring. It's only when I'm on the computer.

That is pretty interesting. I have two kitties- The girl HATES the blow dryer and will get up and run away as soon as she hears it. My boy kitten seems to like it, like yours. I don't sit down to dry my hair, but he will come and lay on my feet while I'm drying..... Strange, huh? I'm not sure if it's the warmth or the noise, either.
