That's a great idea, unfortunately I just found out that saturday we are having a "pancake breakfast" to raise money for the cat rescue I volunteer with and they would kill me if I didn't show.

Maybe another time we can meet up halfway or something!

I am planning on talking Jenny into having me in Baltimore anyway.... I haven't been there in forever & my DH's never been there, so I was gonna try & convince her to play tour guide for me....

Maybe whenever we do another meet it can be there & we can all get together?

I was thinking of a sundress.... if we sit on the back deck it will be hot in the middle of August..... and maybe flipflops or espadrilles....

We will be meeting for lunch, as this allows our farther traveling members to get home before dark.

For those that don't know Manayunk, it's an awesome little town FULL of "Best of Philly" restaraunts & shops... did I say shops? There's a Nicole Miller boutique on the one corner, you could make a 1/2 day of it!

It's trendy & upscale, so you won't have to worry about being in a sketchy neighborhood, it's the very outskirts of the city, with very easy access from the highways. Oh, and did I tell you it's a brewery?!

So, far we have some definates: Me (LuckyGirl), Jenny (Jenny82), Leighann (MoochnNoodles), and Gail (gailuvscats).... with a possible trip from Lisa (lisalee) if we can get someone to carpool with her from her area (let me know if you would be willing to carpool with her, she's about 45mins from the city!). Leighann & Jenny are bringing their SO's and I might drag mine along too (kicking & screaming possibly

). If anyone is interested in coming we'd love to have you!

Well Ladies it looks like you'll have to have fun without me. I have a family baby shower to attend. Don't think Mom would be happy with me if I ditched the family since we live with her now.

When is this and how far from Philly is it actually?? That being said, is anyone going from the Northern VA/DC area and do they want to carpool...

oints up: for those of you looking for something to do in the Baltimore/DC area, I'm going to try to host a get together the weekend of the National Cat Show (in Dulles/Chantilly)... and there's a thread floating around here under Cat Lounge somewhere. I keep trying to bump it up.

I don't think I'm going to be able to come to the National Cat Show

Erm, I probably won't make it on this short of a notice, unless perhaps someone is carpooling from DC. I think it's a 3.5 hour drive for me from here.

At least, I think it was about that to drive to Philly to get the Tonk. I was sort of hoping that it was a weekend that my sister would be traveling to philly on business, and that I could tag with and make use of her hotel rooms, etc.

I'd love to come though.

Have fun guys, wish it weren't so far (or that I had more time available from work... but I was a slacker and used it all up earlier in the year.. well, except for like five days but four of those are vacation days that are already scheduled over turkey day so I can't.)
