Okay, I admit it. I don't think Ron will die. I hope he will. I don't like Ron.

I found this from an interview. Of course, J.K. never gives much away...

Asked which five of her characters she would like to invite to dinner, she chose Harry, Hermione and Ron, but then hesitated before choosing her last characters, saying "See... I know who's actually dead," unsure whether she was permitted to invite those who are 'dead'.[44]

I'm going to quit looking, though, since a copy of the 7th book did leak out yesterday!

That would explain why Dumbledore's memories are pulled from bottles in book six, when before he always pulled them out of his head to put them into the pensieve!

That is an interesting theory about Dumbledore and Snape swapping over using the polyjuice potion - I never thought about that.

I wondered for some time if Dumbledore was actually a death eater in disguise.

But if they did switch where would Dumbledore keep getting the "bits" of Snape to keep taking the potion. Don't forget Baty Crouch Jr had to keep Moody alive to keep taking the polyjuice potion.

If you've read the Narnia series, you know that all the kids die in the end. The last book completely ruined the series for me. It's lame, just like the old "waking up and it was all a dream" plot.

If Hermione or Ron die, I suppose it would be in helping Harry.

I think Snape is actually good, and the fact that Dumbledore is associated with a Phoenix means maybe he will come back in the last book.
i like the polyjuice potion idea.....but it's kinda far fetched...

and about the narnia series.

that TOTALLY ruined it for me..... all the books were SO amazing, and then that last fricken book.....ugh

oh yeah, and did you see how close this poll is?

just reread the sixth one. I raced through it so fast the first time that I missed a lot of things! I'm bracing myself and ready for the seventh
Me, too!

My DH hasn't read any of the books, so I was telling him about Horcruxes. He thinks one of the Horcruxes is actually Harry, that's why Harry & Voldemort are so connected. Maybe when Voldemort attacked Harry as a baby, he was actually giving him a piece of his soul. I thought that was interesting.
I do still believe Snape is a good guy--he just has a lousy personality.
I think he's going to die in book 7.
I keep hoping that Aunt Petunia is going to redeem herself somehow.

I don't think Harry will die - it just doesn't fit in with the type of story arc in this type of book. But then again...
I really can't see Harry, Ron or Hermione dying - they are the central 3 characters and I think they will all survive, albeit they will be changed in some way. Maybe Harry will lose his magical abilities or something. If I was forced to choose one of them to die though I'd say Ron. I do think that a Weasley will die, however. Just don't know which one!

And Dumbledore DID say there were probably Horcruxes from each of the Houses, and Harry could be the Gryffindore one! That's a great theory! It would fit with the prophecy and would also explain this:

It has not been explained why, when Dumbledore heard that Voldemort had used Harry's blood to resurrect himself, Harry sees a "gleam of triumph" in Dumbledore's eyes. GF Ch. 36 Rowling has said that this is still "enormously significant".[34]

But that also means Harry would have to die.

Not to be a bearer of bad news.. But I totally think, Harry is fine,, and Voldemort will die, and Snape, as well as Ron......

Just my opinion,, I think Harry will marry Jenny and they'll have kids, but I don't think Ron will make it...

Oh well.. Can't wait for the book!!
I'm gonna be there to pick it up after Midnight on Friday.

I am finishing re-reading the sixth one as well. I read it the last time the day it came out in it's entirety! I remembered the end in detail, but the rest was fuzzy....except the "relationships".

I voted Hermione because of the author created her to represent herself!

Not sure on Harry. I hope Snape gets it!

Up to my eyeballs in Thomas the Tank Engine undies
I don't care if he chickened out on killing Dumbledore, I think that Malfoy should get the "axe." I can't stand that kid. I do agree with the theory of it being Hagrid that dies, only because he is closest to a "parent figure" to Harry now. Why do the good guys have to die? Why can't it just be the bad guys?

This is what my dad said (I emailed the HP fans I know about your theory Lauren to see what they think):

I think because Harry and "he who we shall never name" wands contain a feather from the same bird they will end up in a draw. Both will lose their powers, the bad guy will become a blubblering harmless idiot and Harry will drift off into muggle land leaving only his legend.
