Those of you with male cats/kittens. Question: has your boy ever gotten "excited" when kneeding you? Charlie was neutered at 3 months old - too young to realize he was a boy. However, I've noticed that when he starts kneeding a lot on your chest, he becomes excited.

Thought this only would happen to males who were older or not neutered - weird IMO but wonder about it

Any one else have an excited kitten?

My boys cats never got excited while kneading, as far as I know - but I've definitely heard of others having this happen. They did tend to get excited when they were cleaning that area sometimes...

Yes, it happens with my cat almost every time he kneads, though he usually kneads a chenille blanket, not a person. He goes through the full business, with humping and finally licking himself. He's a neutered adult.

My Wellington does it too, kneading and humping, sometimes me, sometimes poor little Biscotte, sometimes a cushion or toy.

My sisters two 4 yr old boys do that on blankets, they were neutered before 6 months.

I had a cat once that did it with my stuffed dog, I'm unsure of his age and when he was neutered coz he was adopted from some random people. Couldn't get him out of that habit.

Neko has certainly tried that once or twice with my arm, I just gave him a tap on the behind and told him, if he has those urges to go outside and mount another cat, not my arm. He doesn't try it anymore, he would have been 6mths at that time but neutered at 4mths.

Radar and Sonic both get 'excited' from time to time, usually when getting cuddles and kneading, although Radar has a thing for licking my arm which seems to set him off

As we're in the UK they were both neutered between 6 and 7 months.

My Jiggy, a male, NEVER kneads, however, my female Gette really goes to town on my stomachsometimes! And she drools, too. And she gets gassy (yippee). The baby does it a little when she's feeling playful ,but doesnt get that intense look on her face like Gette does, like she's really concentrating. My husband says she looks like she's getting ready to make a pizza.
