The 19th and the 26th will not work for me. BF kids are going to be here from MN on the 19th and we have a wedding the weekend of the 26th.
Labor Day weekend is also out, sorry for being a pain....
Saugatuck is a cool place, that is only about 15 min. from me as well...
I grew up in Holland so Twisty Chick if you can get to me I will not get you lost!
Could we possibly look at mid September???

Ya had to pick the 19th. Thats the day we're having our wedding shower for all the people that couldn't make (or weren't invited) to the wedding. Any other weekend is good for me after that date.

I know the 25th and 26th of August is out for me. We're going to the Tigers/Yankees game

Aug. 5th there is a TICA cat show in Grand Rapids. And August 18 there is a CFA one in Westland. There is usually a cat show on the east side of Michigan every month.

Is August 5th good for anyone? If not.. Does anyone have a September date that is good for them? September 9th is a sunday and my birthday so I am game for then!

The 5th could work for me thought I always prefer Saturday to Sunday. Must mention this to hubby so he's not surprised when I say "Hey, I'm/we're going to MI next weekend!" Sep. 9 works too... did anyone mention Labor Day weekend yet?

I don't know how labor day would be for me as I think I might be going up to the UP to walk the bridge with the governer (and my neighbor!) I can always do ANY sunday! Saturdays are a little ify for me sometimes! I'm scheduled to work them now again but might be able to get one off, I know the first Saturday in August the boss is leaving so I definatly cannot get that one off!

Aug 5 is iffy for me. it is my B'day weekend and I may be spending it at the cottage. Sept 9 may work for me, but I also would prefer a Saturday if possible. if not, I will be OK with Sunday. Labor day is a no-go, we always go camping with the horses.

Aug 5 probably isn't good for me either... niece's birthday is the 6th (d'uh, how did I forget this earlier). I'm ok with Sundays, but I prefer Saturdays because I don't work weekends and I like to keep my Sunday's open for cleaning, homework and other stuff. I figured Labor Day wouldn't work (lots of people have family holiday traditions) but figured it was worth asking.

I'll ask about Sep. 9th again then? This still workd for me... it's early enough in the fall semester that I shouldn't have much school work to worry about.

Sundays are always better for me as we are closed and I never have to work on Sunday! The closer to school starting and I won't be able to get the Saturday off we get really busy and I wouldn't get out until after 6pm. I again am open though ANY sunday through the rest of the year.

Then looks like Sunday's a winner! LOL Now, can we pin down a date?

Thanks for asking, guys, but since my hubby and I work opposite shifts, weekends are usually spent together and he isn't into this kind of stuff. Once you make the final plans, though, let me know and maybe I can get away.

PookiePoo is right. I live about 1/2 hour south of Port Huron and work in Detroit, so I'm definitely an east side girl.

Both Aug 5th and Labor Day weekend are out for me. I'm on call both weekends and can't be more than 20 minutes away from the O.R. My schedule is only made out 'til Labor Day weekend, so I don't know what September looks like yet. I'll keep checking back though! Even if I'm on call on the weekend that is picked, I might be able to get someone to cover it for a couple of hours if the get-together isn't too far away.

I've been talking to Linda (stampit3d) in PM's and she's down by the IN border and she doesn't really drive so she probably won't be able to make it, not sure if her hubby would let her carpool either but I told her I would keep her informed as well and see what we might be able to figure out once a date it tacked down!

Work schedule only goes to September 2nd, so I don't know what the rest of September looks like yet. I'm sure I'll be on at least one, possibly two more weekends in September. Yes, we are horribly understaffed in our O.R.!!!

Usually the work schedule is made out 2 months in advance, so the new schedule should be coming out fairly soon...

Depending on where on the border she is and where we're meeting, I can pick her up. I'm practically ON the border near the E-W middle.
