For those who might be interested in trying
Drs.Foster & Smith pet foods.
Dog food will be available in July at most local Targets
and Cat food will be available around Sept.
Target will also carry a few of their other products,
beds...
I personally have not tried any as yet.
Just thought I would pass it on.

Ooh, I heard about the dog food, but not the cat. Chase loved the sampler pack I got him from the website when I ordered some stuff earlier this year. I haven't ordered more due to the shipping, and never being sure how long he will eat something. It'd be great if our Target picked it up.

On their website it looks like it might just be the dog food that's going to be available at Target...or am I misreading??

It will be nice to have another option that I can just pick up on my way home. The flyer I got said dog and cat, but it didn't give a date for the cat food.
I also hesitated ordering this from F&S because of their shipping rates (although they do send everything fedex and it gets here in a couple of days).

I can only hope that one of the literally hundreds of Target surveys I filled out pleading for better pet food helped in getting someone's attention. Somehow I end up buying practically everything at Target.

Yesterday I went on the Live chat with them Drs.Foster & Smith pet foods and asked them the question will Target also being carrying any cat
foods and products in future. The live chat person replied
yes but a little down the round around Sept., they are carrying
the dog first. I want to try their food, but shipping is high,
so this will be nice if it goes over well with your pet and we
can get it locally.

This food has only been available via the Foster and Smith website and catalog. I have been using their canned food for my cats but I haven't tried the new country classic dinner formulas, the ones I feed are these loaf style ones.

Chicken formula:

Chicken, Chicken Liver, Chicken Broth, Brown Rice, Egg Product, Whole Ground Flaxseed, Whole Carrots, Whole Sweet Potatoes, Guar Gum, Whole Blueberries, Whole Cranberries, Kelp, Potassium Chloride, Dicalcium Phosphate (source of Calcium & Phosphorus), DL-Methionine, Taurine, Carrageenan, Garlic, Sodium Ascorbate (source of Vitamin C), Choline Chloride, Iron Proteinate (source of chelated Iron), Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Proteinate (source of chelated Zinc), Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, Beta Carotene, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Copper Proteinate (source of chelated Copper), Biotin, Manganese Proteinate (source of chelated Manganese), Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid, Sodium Selenite

Turkey formula:

Turkey, Poultry Liver, Turkey Broth, Herring, Brown Rice, Egg Product, Whole Ground Flaxseed, Whole Carrots, Whole Sweet Potatoes, Guar Gum, Whole Blueberries, Whole Cranberries, Kelp, Potassium Chloride, Dicalcium Phosphate (source of Calcium & Phosphorus), DL-Methionine, Taurine, Carrageenan, Garlic, Sodium Ascorbate (source of Vitamin C), Choline Chloride, Iron Proteinate (source of chelated Iron), Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Proteinate (source of chelated Zinc), Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, Beta Carotene, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Copper Proteinate (source of chelated Copper), Biotin, Manganese Proteinate (source of chelated Manganese), Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide (source of Iodine), Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid, Sodium Selenite.

Chicken and Fish formula:

Chicken, Chicken Liver, Ocean White Fish, Herring, Chicken Broth, Brown Rice, Egg Product, Whole Carrots, Whole Sweet Potatoes, Guar Gum, Whole Blueberries, Whole Cranberries, Sunflower Oil, Kelp, Potassium Chloride, Dicalcium Phosphate (source of Calcium & Phosphorus), DL-Methionine, Taurine, Carrageenan, Garlic, Sodium Ascorbate (source of Vitamin C), Choline Chloride, Iron Proteinate (source of chelated Iron), Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Proteinate (source of chelated Zinc), Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, Beta Carotene, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Copper Proteinate (source of chelated Copper), Biotin, Manganese Proteinate (source of chelated Manganese), Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid, Sodium Selenite.

This is going to be available at Target? I guess it's no longer going to be true that if you can buy it at a place like Target it's not a premium food. This is a premium food.
