Did anyone go the Madison cat show in Stoughton, WI?

This is the first time we ever went to a cat show and the cats were beautiful. We adopted a cat from the humane society and our vet thought he was part Maine Coon and now after seeing so many Maine Coons, we're convinced that he's atleast part if not all Maine Coon. We were thinking that he couldn't be full Maine Coon cuz he doesn't have the tufts on the top of his ears and the funny crazy eyes but we saw other Maine Coons there that didn't have those 2 traits either. Anyway, we really enjoyed the show and if you were showing a cat there, I'd be curious to know what kind of cat you were showing cuz we made sure to see all of them.

Glad you had a good time, but we were not there even if it was ACFA. Our next ACFA show will be in Des Moines in October.

Don't suppose there were any Oci's there?

I don't remember seeing any Oci's but I might have missed them.

when I showed him in the 2 ACFA shows, some of the judges commented it was nice seeing the Oci's again. Since ACFA accepted the Bengals, they've been the more common "spotted" cats in the rings, so there probably was none there (oci's). I showed very heavy in ACFA for many years and know most of the judges.

I also know that the judges "talk" and I'm sure they will pass it along about the nice looking Oci that is being shown - helps sometimes

Case in point. I showed my Russian Blue alter (he got an eye injury as a kitten which left scar tissue). I explained that it was an accident not genetic when he was shown. By the 3rd show, none of the judges questioned his eye and he easily granded He was one of the better RB's to start; but that's how I know that the judges do talk and it was passed on that the RB was ok
