I just adopted two six week old kittens, well the people said they were six weeks. One of them walks around and leaps and all the usual kitty things, the other one stretches her back legs out as she walks. This worries me. She doesn't seem like she is in pain, but I have no idea if this is normal...she doesn't do it all the time, but she still acts unsteady.

The other one doesn't act hungry, but the one with the walking issues, acts like she is starved to death (She is also the smaller of the two) Are any of these things normal for a small kitten?

Six weeks is very young for kittens to be taken from their mom. Most people on here recommend they stay with mom for at least 10-12. The baby is barely weaned!

I'd take her to the vet and I'd also contact the people you got them from and see if they can go back with their mom for another few weeks. There are many social skills they learn from their mom after they are weaned and it's important they learn them.

Good luck!

DEFINATELY see if you can get them back to mom! That is much too young and can lead to all sorts of behavioral problems as they grow up and get bigger. The mother litterbox trains them, socializes them, teaches them to be a cat and all this usually occurs in the 6-10 week time frame so they missed out completely.
