I am absolutely devastated. My daughter's favorite kitten the one she's claimed and named is going through the same thing the other one did. I've done everything on your list and he's not thin or cold, but he's still weak and won't eat. I've given him formula by eyedropper, but since he failed the dehydration pinch test I want to give him pedialyte as instructed by some of the links here. How do you do this? I don't want to choke him. Please help! Any other advice much welcome.

That's what I did, but I mean, in what dose, head position, etc. I gave him just a little and now he seems to have the hiccups. I just know I'm going to do it wrong and fail. Is there a chance he may perk back up once it gets into his system, or should I resort to an emergeny vet (and I currently have no transportation for 2 more hours and it's an hour away! and of course they refuse to give advice over the phone) Is there a shot the vet could give him that would do more than pedialyte, or is he too little? I want to do everything I can, but after my last experience I am not very positive. This is heartbreaking and depressing. Thanks for any help.

I've had my adult cats get that and do very well, but I can't see a one week old kitten being given that needle or the fluid sac under the skin. ANyone know? In the meantime I'm doing all I can. After hours of being held by either me or my daughter I just gave him back to mama and she isn't pushing him away. The others are sleeping and at least he's warm with them. I keep checking to make sure he isn't being laid on. I hope for the best but fear the worst. I can't stop the tears.

I want these kitties to live and be healthy but I tell you what I can never go through this again. (she will get spayed) It's soo emotional and hurtful and I feel so helpless, sad and can't help but blame myself when I can't do more.
