Dinner Time at my House

Me: "Chynna!"
Chynna: *sleeping on the couch*
Me: "Chynna!!"
Chynna: *keeps sleeping*
Me: "Ok Abby here's your dinner. Chynna!!!!"
Chynna: "still asleep*
Me: "CHYNNNNAAAAA"
Chynna: "still asleep!"
Me: *pops tin off of Friskies beef pate*

*THUMP*
*thump*

Oh, so true, with most cats, anyway!

Here's ours:

"Oberon, Sparkle, Lily, here kitties!" (The last two words are the key that means food!)

Lily zooms to the kitchen. Oberon (he's old) quickly hobbles to the kitchen. No sign of Sparkle.

"Sparkle! Here kitty!"

No sign of Sparkle.

"Sparkle! Here kitty!"

Sparkle is in living room, licking her paw, and may or may not come to the kitchen. She usually comes later and expects me to feed her then.

My RB kitty Babygirl was like that, but the 5 I have now, I have NEVER seen them hungry. I just follow my routine of feeding them and they get to it when they want it. They are never waking me up for food or running in there waiting for food, while Im preparing it.

LOL I dont call my cats for dinner, they see it when they get into the kitchen (whenever that is). Usually if they are in the kitchen they sniff it and walk away....or 1 will eat and 1 will wait, they dont like to eat together, they hate eachother LOL.

Old thread, but I was searching for something, and it made me LOL and smile. Since this thread, Chynna has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, and it's nice to have stories like this thread to remind me how special she was.

Oberon passed away two years after this thread, and I had forgotten about our routine then. Sparkle still takes her time and Lily still comes right away. Nice memories, thanks!
