If you use a cell phone, is it your only phone or do you have a land line too? I see so many people going with cell phones only now. What kind of cell phone do you have and what special features does it have? Are you interested in the new iPhone (if you could aford it, of course)? Who is your service provider?

I have just switched to Verizon and love it so far. I have the Verizon 7570 camera flip phone and the only feature that I really use often is the web browser. I don't have a pc at home so it's nice to check my yahoo mail and shop on eBay from my phone. It's also my only phone, I don't have a land line. I'd buy an iPhone if I could afford it and if it was offered on all networks.

I use TMobile and my husband uses Verizon...both cell phones, obviously.

We have a home phone number, the line comes with our digital cable/internet package, but we have never had an actual phone hooked up to it!!!!

I keep thinking we should just get a phone and plug it in, just in case.....but we only really use our cell phones.

I only have a cell phone, no land line phone. I don't really see a point in having a land line phone when I have a cell phone, LOL!

I have a Cricket phone. For those of you who may not know what this is... it's a phone that you can get from the Cricket store and there is NO contract/1 yr agreement. I get unlimited minutes (local or long distance), free texting, and IF I had a camera phone- pictures would be free too. The catch is- it only works locally in the city of Phoenix. It wouldn't work if I went out of state, or out of the area service is provided. I like it though! It's only $50 a month!

I only carry around a cell phone. My boyfriend and I do not have a lanline, just our own separate cell phone numbers.

I don't know about my boyfriend, but I started this back in college. My long distance bill would be ridiculous and half the time I never got a hold of anyone!! Just left messages. So I switched to cell phone because i figured it was cheaper anyways.

The only time I did miss the lanline was during the Blackout in 2004. Cell phones, VoIP phones were not working (since they required electricity to work). Lanlines don't...just 2 pair copper wire.

Anyhoo I've been with T-Mobile for years. They have great customer service and the only time I can't get reception is usually in a place i don't want to talk to anyone anyway (noisy stores or vacations).

I have a Razr and my boyfriend has a Krazr. We both use our cell phones as our only phones. One thing I like about that is that you don't get tellamarketers and if it's an 800 number I probably forgot to pay some bill.

I don't have anyone close by so I couldn't imagine how much it would cost me to call family and friends if I had a landline!! I really think landlines are going to become extinct. At least if that happends we can get rid of some of the ugly phone lines that are lining the streets.

TMobile was one of the networks I wanted to check out, but they are not in my area right now. I was with SunCom for 4 1/2 years and just switched to Verizon last month.

I only have a cell phone -- no landline. BF and I figure we barely use the phone anyway so why spend the money. I have Cingular, now AT&T, and have for years. I absolutely love the service but hate my actual phone. It's a Nokia but very poorly made and is already starting to break and I've only had it since January. All of my other phones lasted 2 years+!! I'm not too crazy about the iPhone. The features are cool but I would never use them and I think it's a little bit bulky. I'm really dying for the Motorola Krzr though!

In my own world, its much nicer there
I have the new Sony Ericsson W44S, on the AU network, its got tonnes of gucci features the best being free tv. You just need to pay a few $ for the software then no extra costs to watch as much tv as you want. We don't have text messaging here but use emails instead which is far more convenient.
Any $$ that you don't use 1 month gets carried to the next, thats good too.
No landline yet, too expensive.

I have a cell and a landline. Just because Lee only has a prepaid for emergencies. I have a pink Razr. Ilove it. but I want the chocolate or something else too!
no Iphone for me. It just does to much. I want a camera phone with maybe a music player. I don't need the web from it or all that extra stuff.

DH and I both have cell phones (Motorola camera phones w/internet and other cool features). We also have a landline, the only reason we have a landline is so we can have DSL, if it wasn't for that, we wouldn't have a landline. It is very rarely ever used. We use the cell phones for long distance. We have AT & T (formerly Cingular) and have had for about 13 years now. We have never had any major problems, so we have just stayed w/them, we almost always have service, never really been in an area that I can recall that we hadn't had service. Can always get a line out in Walmart, restaurants and other places like that. Sometimes I wish we didn't have signal. (haha)

I only have a cellphone... No house phone

This is the phone I have: http://cellphones.techfresh.net/wp-c...msung-a640.jpg

It has ready link, picture mail, camera, voice sms, web, im, text messaging, etc... No video though! Im not a fan of the company I am with and plan to switch as soon as my contract is up! Partly because there are other phones out there that strike my interest, and they are not offered through my provider.

The iphone seems overrated thus far considering there have been so many issues up until this point, plus it is too expensive. I dont need to be a part of that fad. My bf has a treo that does the same things (more or less) touch screen, full web access, etc... Not to mention the iphone is only available by at&t (aka cingular) and I rather not be a customer of theirs again... LOL or any cell company for that matter!

J and I have separate cell phones, which we rarely ever use -- we bring them in the car with us when we're travelling, or keep them on us for specific phone calls, or to use when we separate while shopping (rather than arrange a meeting place, we'll just call each other in the mall and then meet up). I'm not thrilled with mine, because the reception is terrible, but my parents pay for the plan (they get some kind of super-awesome package deal that I wouldn't be eligible for, so my phone is pretty much free for them). We have a landline for at home, which we also seldom use -- we're just not big phone people; I typically schedule plans via email and Facebook, and then we talk with people face-to-face.

When I lived alone, I used my cellphone exclusively and didn't have a landline. I couldn't justify the extra expense. Plus, my old cellphone (which was one of those huge ones) had incredible reception -- I could pick up phone calls in the middle of a cement bunker, when other people around me were cut off. I miss that phone, but the battery started dying (in a permanent way) and the cellphone company no longer supported it.
It now has a new life as a prop for space-age LARPs (live-action role-play).

We have a landline for the DSL. Even if we did not need it for the DSL I would have one anyway as I still have one child at home and I would not feel right about her not having a phone in an emergency.

We have one cell phone that me and the BF sort of share although he has has it about 99% of the time

At work I have a phone at my desk so there is really no reason for me to have a seperate cell phone. He does home improvement so his jobs move around. It makes more sense for him to carry it so I can get a hold of him if I need to.
