hey all sister in law took on two cats about 2 months ago , one female 9 month old and one male 6 months old cat. Neither of them have been neuterd both were covered in fleas and the female cat was very skinny. Sister inlaw at the time didnt belive the male cat was 6 months as he is very small but then female cat came in to heat and i told sister to separate the two cats but she didnt and after two days off being in heat the female cat was so longer showing any signs, My sister in law said she had to take the male cat off the female cat 10 times once. This was about 3 weeks ago now and she said the female cat is eatin loads and being very affectionate ( was very scared before) do u think the female cat is pregnant ?? is there any early signs i can look out for ?? am going to see her tonight so will have a look at her, i wish sister in listen to me. Will the female cat be ok if she is pregnant with being so young ?? . Forgot to say hi am becky and am new and i have a male ginger cat that is 3 next month and called merlin xx

From what I've read on here, the kitten/cats nipples will turn pink to begin with. This is probably not much use but i'm in a similar predicament. Although I only have 1 kitten/cat of 10 months. Mine also sleeps loads so thats another thing to possibly look out for. Oh & I'm new also, so hellooooooo

A vet is the best way to confirm a pregnancy. I will also suggest having her spayed right away so that the doesn't have any babies. If the parents were so sickly it is dangerous to bring unwanted and possibly ill babies into the world to ill parents. That is just a disaster waiting to happen. Plus, have either of them been tested? I would be very wary of roaming intact males mating with a female...
