Hi all, I have signed up because I'm not sure if my kitten, who is about 10 months old is pregnant. She shot out of the door about a month ago & came back 26hrs later. I have read through many posts on here & have been on nipple watch, some are still white but the majority are pink. She is quite lanky & I can't decide if she is putting on weight or not. When do their bellies start growing etc? Sorry if I seem a bit thick but its been over 10yrs since I had a pregnant queen....

the best way to tell is a vet check. they will also do a genral health check to. but first signs are enlarged nipples which will be pink.
she may or may not have some sickness.
at about 5 weeks her belly will start to be noticeable . and yes sleeping can be one of the signs, but cats sleep a lot anyway.

Just so you know, you can still spay her asap. Many vet will do it and some don't charge extra, but some do. It is so expensive to raise kittens, with all the high quality food you will have to buy, three rounds of kitten vaccines for EACH cat, spaying and neutering all of them plus mom... It is much easier to just spay her now so then she won't have any babies. It is unfortunate that the world so so overpopulated with unwanted kittens being killed everyday, but there is no reason to bring more unwanted kittens into the world. Plus you don't know who she mated with, he could have been some nasty diseased flea ridden FIV+ tomcat.

Good luck to you! And yes, a vet is a great way to confirm her pregnancy.
