Yea I've heard cats have no control over the movements of their tails. Then I heard a comedian having a real good time using that fact as part of his material when talking about his cats bringing home a huge bird.Originally Posted by BuzbyJLC10
Beats me! Oliver's 5 and still chases his tail sometimes.... he'll be sitting and it'll be between his legs twitching and he'll start looking at it with that huntin stare... then he'll start to chase and try to bite it... I always tell him "that's gonna hurt..." then *chomp* followed by a look of surprise on his face.... 5 years and he still doesn't get that it's attached to him
As long as it's just in play and not like an obsessive thing that would signify some kind of medical or OCD problem, then it's nothing to be worried about (as long as he doesn't play too rough of course, haha)

I have a kitten who likes to bite and sometimes chew on his own tail (for fun I guess...he's quite the wild one). How do I get him to stop?
Does he injure himself when he does this? Like does he aggressively attack his tail and make it bleed?Originally Posted by elbvc211
