I just love a long fluffy tail on a cat! Riley has a tail like a monkey and out of curiosity, I got out the tape measure and measured it.

From the base of his tail to the tip, is just over 12 inches long!

What about your kitties?

ETA: He is almost 7 months old and weighs 7 pounds. I know he will get bigger, but I wonder at what age does their tail get as long as its going to get?

Linus has a very short skinny tail about 7" long.
Sassy has the tail to end all tails at 12" it almost doubles his length. It is also full and fluffy.

Aristotle's was last measured at 14 inches. It inspired my avatar.

Topaz? She won't let me measure it. Probably 9-10 inches.

I was lazy, and just called them till they came and jumped in my lap.

Both Sho and Tomas have 12" tails.
I thought for sure Sho's was a tad shorter, maybe because it's so thick and Sho's rather pudgy that it looks short?
Tomas's is long and skinny.

Thats about 12 and 11 inches I think. I just turned over my tape measure (sewing kind) and it looks about there.

Inches to centimeters is number of inches multiplied by 2.54
Centimeters to inches is number of centimeters divided by 2.54
Basic math.

Ok Noodles' tail is 11 inches. I had to crawl under the desk where she finally settled down in order to measure it....she's now giving me strange looks!

Yeah, me and math go together about as well as a bunch of wild cats and dogs in the same room, if you catch my drift.

Siam's is 14", the same as when we measured a few months ago. When he get's "happy tail" it touches his nose, curled over his back. Spud has only a 10" tail. I hope he doesn't have tail envy.

Scratch's tail is 10" and Squee's is 8". I never thought I'd measure my cats' tails.

I'm awful at math too.
But because almost all of my friends I chat with online are from other countries I need to know how to convert to metric.
Had you replied before me in metric I probably would have remembered to put the measurement in both.

I'll do that now since some UK members will be getting on later too.

tails = 12" or 30.5 cms.

I would have to ask my son. He was curious who is the longest master. I know who's the heaviest. Sterling (he's a diabetic cat though)
