You all probably know the look your cats can give where they look at you or another cat, slowly close and open their eyes and then look away. Aspen did this to Pumpkin this morning, and my first thought was that she was being evil and rolling her eyes at him because it looked just like how humans look when they're rolling their eyes. But, then I remembered reading in a cat behavior book that cats do that slow opening and close of the lids and then looking away as a peaceful greeting. Considering that she went on to smell his bottom right after, this interpretation seems to fit. But, until I read that I always thought my cats were having an attitude when they did this.
