Hi,

My cat is 59 days pregnant and keeps urinating in the nesting boxes we set up for her. No matter where we put them, if there's a towel in them she has a pee.

She has also recenlty had a pee on my a pile of my husband's clothes.

She isn't in any pain, or straining, or going more often than usual.

Is this linked to her pregnancy? I wondered if it was some way of marking her scent on the nests?

Any help or similar experiences would be most appreciated.

iv not heard of this but it is possible maybe that she is trying to mark them. is she still using her litter box? maybe she has an infection have you spoken to a vet?

She is still using her litter. I've not contacted a vet because as soon as I removed the nest and piles of clothes from the bedroom she hasn't peed anywhere else.

That's what made me think it was territorial?

I don't know, it could be related to that. I'd use newspaper instead of towels, anyway.. it's easier to clean up.

Trina has been having some bad peeing behavior as well and she might be pregnant(though she's the skinniest 6 weeks along cat I've ever seen), so I just don't know. Some cats just like peeing in fabric. I can't let Toby in my room if I have clothes on the floor, he goes on them. So it happens. =(
